These are planning estimates. Adjust for your guests, menu, package sizes and weather. Alcohol quantities are stock estimates only—never a safe-consumption recommendation.
Guest count starts the list. Time and weather shape it.
A four-hour outdoor party usually needs more cold drinks than a short indoor gathering. We keep the inputs small and show the assumptions in the result.
- 1Count every adult and child who may want a drink.
- 2Add the party length and whether warm weather will increase demand.
- 3If alcohol is served, enter only drinking-age guests who may drink.
- 4Choose minimum, recommended or extra, then adjust for known preferences.
Example: 30 guests for four hours
With 24 adults, 6 children and 18 drinking-age guests who may drink, the recommended result separates water, soft drinks and optional bar stock. Changing the event to alcohol-free immediately removes every alcoholic quantity.
Party Drinks Calculator FAQ
How do I calculate drinks for a party?
Enter the adults, children and party length. The calculator estimates water and soft-drink servings for everyone, then adds optional beer, wine and spirits only for the drinking-age guests you enter.
How many servings are in a bottle of wine?
A 750 ml bottle holds about five U.S. 5-ounce wine servings. Actual pours and alcohol strength vary.
Can I use this for an alcohol-free party?
Yes. Choose No for alcohol and all beer, wine and spirit quantities become zero while water and soft drinks remain.
Is this a safe drinking limit?
No. It is only an event stock estimate. It does not tell any person how much alcohol is safe to drink. Offer alcohol-free choices and help guests arrange a safe ride home.
